Bedroom Makeovers

This year seems to be the house update year. We have been in our house for 5 years now and besides some repairs and updates that had to be done in the course of the years (like waterproofing the basement, getting a new dryer etc.) we are finally putting some more energy into the interior of the house. It was cute and cozy up until now as well, but as someone who likes change and decorating I seem to have caught the 5 year itch and have decided to redo some spaces. In the past few months the rooms that were given most attention are the bedrooms. As I am eager to start new projects I always forget to take before photos and think of it when I am already half way through. I also want to add that all the rooms are done on a tight budget, partially as a challenge and partially because I know that in another few years I will want to change things around again, and decorating with oodles of cash is no fun (or so I tell myself).
So here it goes:

Max's room:
Max is my husband's 11 year old son. When in his room he mostly plays games on his tablet and is often to be fond sitting in the cozy chair nook.
Besides the essentials which are the bed and the mattress the investment in this room was minimal:

Blue Cabinet: Ikea around $120
Chair: Ikea -we had
Rug: Ikea $30 or so
Bedding: Ikea $30
White Stool: donated
Small Purple Desk: Goodwill $20
Desk Chair: Goodwill $5
Accessories: $30-$40-ish

Gaming nook

I had some leftover drawer pulls and decided to install them as clothes hooks
Emilie's room:
Emilie is Marc's 15 year old daughter that loves to read.
Chandelier: Home Depot $100
Bedding: Ikea - around $40
Blue Dresser: Goodwill $20
Old Night Stand: donated
Accessories: $30

Master Bedroom;

Black Dresser: $17
Lamp: Goodwill $5
Mirror: Piere 1 Imports - spray painted yellow - around $100
Chandelier: Ikea - purchased at Habitat for Humanity for $40 and spray painted yellow
Bedding: Ikea - total around $80
Wooden Dresser: Goodwill - $80
Floor Lamp - Goodwill $10 and lamp shade $5 goodwill sprayed with stripes
Curtains: Ikea - $30
Turquoise Sewing Cart (aka jewelry holder) - $10 - painted turquoise
Accessories: around $30
